The third moon saw Terfilio

at the port of great Andaar

and to impress the shepherdess

in weeks he'd travelled far.

At the pens for pigs and sheep

he waited till she came

though by that time he needed sleep

much more than worldly fame.

Well done she said you do look tired

to have passed a test this easy.

The second test requires more wit

the strain will make you queasy.

The House of Kaylan in the land of Brythuin

may well be the cause

of your untimely ruin

for 'tis there you must repair.

The maid of Athlone is set to marry

and her bridal ring you must

plunder though the hounds of hell

your heels will harry and Gods

and leaves shout a thunder of kill the thief !!

This is a test of your cunning and guile

its needs are somewhat blatant

And in the night alone must fight

to discover a hero latent.

'Tis well to joke said the Bard,

I am no worldly fighter,

it may well be that we will see

how fast my legs can run.

If I become all lighter,

by a head.

In the course of one moon,

the land of Brythuin

will have a Queen.

Bring me the ring of the princess.

One more thought upon this quest,

the maid of Athlone wants not to wed,

and removing of the royal ring,

to her much pleasure will bring,

for her true love is

still at sea and if returning

any day from ship,

the wedding then

she night delay

on choosing another ring.

A ship sails on the tide,

'twould do well to gain its side

before it sets its sail,

the captain of this weighty barque

may like a song and tale when time to mark,

on a lengthy voyage.
